Our quilting group is dedicated to creating beautiful and warm quilts that are then sent to Lutheran World Relief to be distributed to those in need all around the globe. No experience is necessary to help tie a quilt, just come and enjoy the community and contribute to this worthy cause. If you have experience in sewing and enjoy piecing fabric, you can help us make quilt tops at home. We have quilt kits available in the narthex that you can check out and return at your convenience.
Our small group of dedicated quilters is responsible for sandwiching and binding these quilt tops to get them ready for our Quilting Bees. We also accept fabric donations, preferably bright or dark-colored cotton fabrics. This quilting group is proudly sponsored by the Global Missions ministry team.
A couple times a year we hold an old fashioned quilting bee. The quilts then blessed and sent to Lutheran World Relief for distribution to people in need.

Recreational Reading is open to anyone who loves to read and chat about books. We choose our books in August for the year and everyone gets a say in which ones we select. It's a great opportunity to read books that you might not have picked yourself and broaden your horizons. Besides discussing the books, we also talk about current events and other interesting topics. If you're interested in joining us, feel free to contact the group arranger, Carol MacDonald, at for more information. Hope to see you there!
Meets in the Valbracht (on the ground level) every 4th Wednesday at 4:30pm
