Mission Statement: Our mission is to provide opportunities for women to create community and experience personal and spiritual growth.

WIRED (Women Interested in Renewal, Education, and Discovery) is for women of all ages. You need not be a member of St. John’s to attend. We hold three large gatherings each year. Small groups meet based on special interests.

WIRED Gatherings:

• Winter (January): Our Winter Gathering consists of a luncheon along with a service-learning project and/or a speaker to teach us about a service organization. This gathering is held in Weertz Hall.
• Spring (April): The Spring Gathering is a luncheon followed by a speaker on a spiritual or personal growth topic. This gathering is held in Weertz Hall.
• Fall (October): Usually held in October, the Fall Retreat is an offsite event. We share a potluck meal, listen to a speaker (topics vary), and enjoy fellowship activities. The 2023 Fall Retreat is scheduled for October 15th at McRae Park.

WIRED Small Groups:

All of these groups are open to all women. Please e-mail the facilitator to let her know of your interest and get more information.

• COOKING CLASSES: The group meets as interest arises to learn a new recipe. Contact Carol Lunde ( ) to be on the email list for the next event.
• BOOK DISCUSSION: Meets about every 6 weeks to discuss a book chosen the previous time. Deb Donald ( ) organizes the book club.
• RENEWAL & DISCOVERY SPIRITUALITY GROUP: A group gathers monthly to discuss books that challenge them to understand and grow in their spirituality. Contact Karen Zaabel ( ) if interested.
• MOVIE NIGHT: This group meets as interest arises to go to the movies. Contact Carol Lunde ( ) to be on the email list for the next event.
• SOCIAL EVENTS: Periodic music, plays and dinners
