Services will be held at 12:05 p.m. in the Chapel, and 7:00 p.m. in the Sanctuary. Both services will include the traditional Imposition of Ashes and a time for prayer and reflection.
Ash Wednesday is a solemn day in the Christian calendar, inviting worshipers into a season of repentance, renewal, and preparation. All are welcome to attend.
St. John’s Lutheran Church is located at 600 6th Avenue, Des Moines, Iowa. Please use the Parish office entrance off 600 6th avenue for the 12:05pm chapel service.

Please join us each week for our Wednesday Lenten Services. For the noon service, we ask that you enter through the Parishioner door at the front of the church. Katie will let you in from the front desk. Please note that parking will be limited at noon; the parking garage and the Principal Lot will not be available during that time. We encourage you to use street parking or nearby city garages and lots.
For the Evening services, the Principal Lot will be available for your use. Please keep these parking limitations in mind as you plan to attend,especially if you require more accessible parking than will be available at noon
